《赢天下》“金丝山纹”版海报曝光 范冰冰携众星亮相
We caught up with our Marketing and Design Executive, Libby, to learn about some of her favourite graphic design tools and top tips. Here's what she had to say ??
What are your favourite graphic design tools and why?
My favourite graphic design tool is Adobe Creative Cloud because it offers the freedom to be as creative as you want with graphics, animations, fonts, and more. Although it can be quite tricky to get the hang of!
If you’re a beginner making graphics for social media, Canva is definitely a good place to start. Once you’re comfortable and enjoying it, investing in Adobe Creative Cloud is worthwhile for creating unique and professional designs.

What are some common font mistakes you should avoid?
When creating graphics for your business, it’s important to stick to the fonts outlined in your brand guidelines. Ideally, you should use a maximum of two fonts — one for titles and another for body text. Using more than two fonts can clutter the graphic, making it look untidy and unprofessional.
If your branding only includes one font, you can still create visual distinction by varying the font's format. For example, use different weights, sizes, or styles (like bold or italics) to differentiate between titles and body text, ensuring your design remains clean and cohesive.

Photos or illustrations? What type of visuals are most effective for grabbing attention in designs?
This is a tricky one because it really depends on your business’s style. Both photos and illustrations have the power to stand out when used in the correct way. Lately, I’ve noticed and really liked the trend of merging illustrations with photos, almost like a comic book. They always stand out to me! But, as I mentioned, it really comes down to what suits your brand image.
Whenever possible, use your own original illustrations or photos. Authenticity in your visuals that reinforces your brand’s identity will always win.

What do you enjoy the most when it comes to graphic creation?
I love the process of creating new graphics for clients, especially when their branding is unique and offers a fresh challenge. Designing branded presentations is another area I really enjoy; there's something satisfying about making information both visually appealing and on-brand.
Illustration is a particular passion of mine. Outside of Amber Mountain client, I run a digital drawing business where I create and sell portraits, mainly of people’s pets, because I love animals ?
