Cursor 1.3 is out! You can now collaborate with Agent in your terminal, clearly see context window usage, and make faster edits. Read the full changelog here: cursor.com/changelog
In the past month, Cursor found 1M+ bugs in human-written PRs. Over half were real logic issues that were fixed before merging. Today, we're releasing the system that spotted these bugs. It's already become a required pre-merge check for many teams. Bugbot is now core to the workflows of many leading engineering teams, including Datadog, Shopify, and Rippling. Cursor transforms how Mercado Libre's engineering teams approach development, enabling them to build features in days that previously took weeks. "Cursor goes beyond traditional code autocomplete, it acts as a powerful agent that can generate significant portions of code and truly augment our engineers. It helps teams ramp up on unfamiliar codebases, generate meaningful code, and debug complex issues with more speed and confidence. Cursor adoption has been organic, many teams have embraced it without any top-down mandate. That’s a strong signal that it's solving real pain points in everyday development work. Even senior leaders are using Cursor to prototype and explore ideas more directly in code. It’s helped rapidly prototyping ideas, contributing directly to codebases, and collaborating more fluidly with technical teams. In certain cases, we’ve seen features built in a day that might otherwise have taken weeks to prototype. Especially in greenfield development and internal MVPs, it’s changed how quickly teams can move from concept to implementation." — Oscar Mullin, VP of Technology at Mercado Libre

Cursor can now make to-do lists, search PRs, and queue messages. We’ve also made Tab much faster. Read everything that’s new in 1.2 here: cursor.com/changelog/1-2
Cursor is used firm-wide at Optiver, a global trading firm, supporting their engineers and researchers in their day-to-day development work. "At Optiver, we’ve recently expanded our Cursor usage to firm-wide deployment, with over 700 engineers and researchers now leveraging the platform. Our teams have consistently found Cursor to be a great code generation tool for enterprise use: robust, context-aware, and flexible enough to support the scale and complexity of a global trading firm. The developer enthusiasm has been remarkable; adoption has happened organically, with many engineers quickly becoming internal advocates. Across all the major tools we’ve trialed so far, Cursor leads the way not just for its technical capabilities but for the impact it’s had on our efficiency and collaboration. Our engineering leaders describe Cursor as transformative: making developers more productive, helping us manage large codebases, and ultimately allowing us to focus on higher-value work. We’re all excited to be scaling our partnership and driving further adoption of AI in engineering and research." — Scott McKenzie, Global Head of Engineering at Optiver

Enjoyed a great CTO dinner last week hosted with Thrive Capital in San Francisco. We brought together a thoughtful group of leaders from Dell Technologies, JPMorganChase, Tesla, Fanatics, ClickHouse, Palantir Technologies, Discord, Electronic Arts (EA), and Ripple. We discussed how teams use tools like Cursor to accelerate their development, how engineering orgs are evolving, and where the future of coding is headed. Thanks for joining us Ken Durazzo, Michael Payne, Matthias Spycher, Peter Maag, Allen Chen, David Lau, Stanislav Vishnevskiy, Yury Izrailevsky, and Dennis Jarosch. And for putting it together Miles Grimshaw, Philip Clark, Michael Scherr, Usman Muzaffar, and Andrew Milich.
